   This quote means that you wont receive anything if you do the wrong things in life. You will never get anything good for doing the wrong things. For example if you choose to cheat on a test to gain a good grade it wont be a good thing because you did not learn anything. another example is choosing to  get kicked out of class because you thing you will gain something good out of it. when in reality you will gain nothing because you will not be learning anything. if you do the right thing than you will receive good thing out of those good deeds. Doing the wrong thing doesn't achieve anything good you will only receive punishment.
